Plantar fascia loading at different running speed: a dynamic finite element model prediction
نویسندگان
چکیده
Loads on the plantar fascia could be influenced by running speed and relate to its pathology. This study calculated compared strains under different conditions using a dynamic finite element foot model computational simulations. The was previously validated featuring twenty bones, bulk soft tissue, muscles/ligaments, solid part of fascia. A runner performed trials one preferred (PS), two lower (PS - 10% PS 20%) higher + conditions. movement data were processed drive musculoskeletal modelling boundary/loading for subsequent analyses. results show that peak increased with increasing speed. From – 20% 20%, strain in proximal distal regions 96.78% 58.89% respectively. Running directly affect loading, which should considered regimens rehabilitation programmes. However, prescribing control runners is worth pondering as it influences trade-off between maximum single-step loads loading frequency, coalescence determine risk injury warranted further investigations.

متن کاملMechanical Behavior of in-situ Chondrocyte at Different Loading Rates: A Finite Element Study
Previous findings indicated that in-situ chondrocytes die readily following impact loading, but remain essentially unaffected when loaded at the same magnitude but with a slow (non-impact) loading rate. The current study was aimed at identifying the causes for cell death in impact loading by quantifying chondrocyte mechanics when cartilage was compressed nominally by 5% at different loading rat...
متن کاملPrediction of Crack Initiation Direction for Inclined Crack Under Biaxial Loading by Finite Element Method
This paper presents a simple method based on strain energy density criterion to study the crack initiation angle by finite element method under biaxial loading condition. The crack surface relative displacement method is used to eliminate the calculation of the stress intensity factors which are normally required. The analysis is performed using higher order four node quadrilateral element. The...
متن کاملCervical Spine Segment Finite Element Modelvalidation and Verification at Traumatic Loading Levels for Injury Prediction
The objective of this study was to verify and validate an enhanced cervical spine segment finite element model to predict tissue-level failure under tension and compression loading. The predicted failure locations were representative of reported cervical spine injuries, and the predicted peak failure forces were within the reported experimental corridors. The displacement to failure of the tens...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Different Hip Implant Designs along with Femur under Static Loading Conditions
Background: The hip joint is the largest joint after the knee, which gives stability to the whole human structure. The hip joint consists of a femoral head which articulates with the acetabulum. Due to age and wear between the joints, these joints need to be replaced with implants which can function just as a natural joint. Since the early 19th century, the hip joint arthroplasty has evolved, a...
